SWAN

A stunning take on the streamlined elegance of swans.

Carved from high quality slate with the swan’s wake echoed in stainless steel, this imposing figure stands around 6ft tall. It is bizarrely tactile and we haven’t met anyone yet that doesn’t feel drawn to touch it. Appropriately, as a black swan, North Norfolk where it was made, is one of the few places in the UK where black swans have settled in the wild on the Norfolk Broads. Native to Australia and Tasmania they were brought over in the 19th century as ornamental birds.

Swan will sit comfortably inside or out with no change to its appearance. This piece is also suited to sitting in water with no detrimental effects.

IN A PAST LIFE …

Swan was created from an old snooker table hence the extremely high quality of the slate. This was just one of the 5 pieces that made up the bed. It is possible to find traces of its past life with very close inspection….

The stainless steel was also part of a salvaged ‘thing’, but unfortunately, we’ve forgotten what!
